David Gibson leads Argonne’s Environmental, Safety, Health and Quality Directorate. David joins Argonne from Sandia National Laboratories, where he most recently held the role of Director, California Site Operations. In this role, David was responsible for stewarding the physical plant and all day-to-day infrastructure operations for Sandia’s California Laboratory, including Environmental Management, Occupational Safety and Health, Facilities, Safeguards & Security, Emergency Management, Logistics, Enterprise IT, and Engineering Services.
Prior to that, David held a variety of roles at Sandia over 21 years, starting as a student intern and holding increasing roles of responsibility in infrastructure, environmental, construction, corporate partnerships, radiation, and waste management. David holds a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science, Construction Management, both from the University of New Mexico.
