Gail Stine is Interim Senior Director of Argonne National Laboratory’s Environment, Safety, Health, and Quality Directorate. The directorate integrates the Lab’s environment, health, safety, and quality programs to maintain a work culture that protects the safety, security, and well-being of Argonne employees and the environment.
Stine previously served as Senior Director of the Infrastructure Services Directorate, which provides strategic site stewardship through infrastructure planning and modernization; project management; facilities management, including nuclear facilities; waste management; site services; and security and emergency management.
She joined Argonne in 2006 as director of the Project Management and Engineering Division. Her tenure includes establishing the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE)-recognized Project Management Office, enabling approval of three new lab buildings for Argonne, $1.1 million in American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 funding, and other achievements.
Stine has written 14 papers in professional publications and is a member of the Acquisition Professional Community and Defense Leadership and Management Program. She has received numerous awards during her career, including the Navy Desert Storm/Shield Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation for Operation Enduring Freedom, and two Meritorious Civilian Service Awards.
