UChicago Argonne, LLC Board of Governors for Argonne National Laboratory
Board Members
The UChicago Argonne, LLC Board of Governors for Argonne currently consists of twenty-eight distinguished individuals including University of Chicago trustees, officials and faculty, representatives from other universities, and industry leaders, who bring a wide range of expertise, information, and assistance in the direction, operation and management of the Laboratory. The board by-laws allow for twenty-nine members of the board. Membership may be expanded to include a representative of one or more subcontractors to UChicago Argonne, LLC that assist UChicago Argonne, LLC in the management and operation of the Laboratory as part of a contractor teaming arrangement.
Ex officio members of the board include:
- The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University of Chicago or his or her designee;
- The President of the University of Chicago;
- The Provost of the University of Chicago, or by designation of the Provost, the Deputy Provost for Research;
- The Vice President for Research and for National Laboratories of the University of Chicago or such other responsible officer of the University of Chicago designated by its President;
- The President of Northwestern University;
- The President of the University of Illinois; and
- The Director of Argonne National Laboratory. There are currently twenty-eight members serving on the Board. The by-laws allow twenty-nine members and membership may be expanded to include a representative of one or more subcontractors to UChicago Argonne, LLC that assist UChicago Argonne, LLC in the management and operation of the Laboratory as part of a contractor teaming arrangement.
